It's been very quiet after the launch of the world wide smash hit GTA IV. No one's really looking to play anything else, but for the rest of the gaming world that aren't GTA lovers. One word................. Haze, due late this month.
April 08
With the launch of GTA IV from RockStar later on this month. We in Australia are left asking, why don't we have an R18+ rating. We will get an Australian only version of the game, while other great games like Dark Sector get banned. Don't get me wrong, little Johnny shouldn't be able to get his hands on one. But the rest of us gamers pay the ultimate price, I agree games like Manhunt should be banned. The lack of story line leads to killing people and killing people and killing people, you get the picture. I was left asking my self, what was the point and why would you even make a game like this. The bottom line is supervision, if you watch what your kids play and take a small interest, then you should have the right to decide what is appropriate for them.
March 08

July 07
Losts of talk all round the world today as Rockstar are about to release Manhunt 2. Questions like...which countries will ban the game like the first one? Will it have a strict 18+ rating if released (we don't have one)? For the countries that have banned the game already (currently Germany & UK), will people within those countries be able to import copies from other zones? Will Australia will ban the game, who knows but I would guess yes.

The 7th of this month see's the launch of the new Nintendo Wii. We will have a unit in store and running this weekend. As software for the Wii is currently hard to get we will be renting what titles we can get. After playing Wii Sports and some of the other titles, bowling and tennis were fun. In my opinion, the next-gen console war has a clear winner, Sony's Playstaion 3.
Please note that starting Monday 18th of December we start 7 day trading for school holidays finishing 28th January 2007.
